Hina Rabbani Khar

Hina Rabbani Khar, born 19 November 1977;[1] MP) is a Pakistani stateswoman and an economist who is the current and 26th Foreign Minister of Pakistan. Hailing from the powerful feudal family, she embarked her statesmanship in 2002 in the government of Prime minister Shaukat Aziz and subsequently served in the Finance ministry and Foreign ministry as its minister of state. After successfully contesting in 2008 general elections, she briefly served in the Finance ministry and directed the policies concerning the national economy in the absence of the finance minister in 2010.

Finally, she was ascended as first female foreign minister of the country in July 2011 after the surprise and dramatic resignation of Mehmood Qureshi. Since 2008, she has been a senior and high-ranking member of the Central Executive Committee, and is widely regarded as one of the highest ranking female officer in the political arena of Pakistan.

She is married to Firoze Gulzar with whom she has two daughters, Annaya and Dina.[11] She is the co-owner of the expensive, five-star restaurant, the "Polo Lounge", on the Lahore Polo Ground..[33]

As published in several prominent news outlets in South Asia, Hina Rabbani Khar was rumored to have been involved in an extramarital love affair with Bilawal Bhutto in 2012, the son of former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto. [34]
